Hot stone massage uses heated, smooth basalt stones alongside traditional massage strokes. The heat penetrates muscle tissue faster than hands alone, which changes what the treatment can do for you — and why it's one of our most requested sessions.
Therapists place warmed stones along key points on the back and limbs, then use them directly in the massage strokes. The heat helps muscles relax more quickly, which lets the therapist work deeper without needing as much pressure.
A typical session runs 60 minutes. Stones are heated to a controlled, comfortable temperature — always tell your therapist immediately if anything feels too hot. Most people leave feeling looser and noticeably calmer than after a standard massage.
Hot stone massage isn't recommended during pregnancy, for people with certain circulatory conditions, or on areas with broken skin or recent injury. If you're unsure, mention any health conditions when you book and our therapists will advise you.
